All I am Saying, is don't Give Peace a Chance

American Idol started recording their 12th season last Sunday and immediately you could feel the tension in the air between the now two official resident divas, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.  Mrs. CannonCarey made it no secret of how upset she was that Nick  was a whole 45 minutes fashionably late to the opening seasons first round of auditions.

Mariah and Nicki also went back and fourth as Mariah criticized  her critiques.  So it was a critique within a critique within a critique about critiquing(INCEPTION!).

But Monday Mariah squashed the beef and took Nicki aside, claiming that this drama is not something that Fox or American Idol needs and Nicki agreed.

Well hell, if there's no drama there's no need for me to watch!  That's what I was tuning in for!  Somebody better hurry up and steal somebody else's pink lipstick or something quick and get back to the feuding because if not I predict American Idol's rating tanking faster than Mitt Romney at a Single Black Mother's Convention!

Oh hell to the hell naw!

Is American Idol trying to turn itself into "the greatest show on earth" or just a "three ring circus"? Now there are talks of Kanye West possibly coming on to the show as a judge next season.

Okay, so far we have Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Now Yeezy?!!

There are more quite less painful ways to commit relevance suicide American Idol.  The show is supposed to be about turning nobodies into somebodies but with this mad-house of a judging panel Idol is coming up with, who will really be tuning in to hear the music over finding out what one of these three drama magnets who are no strangers to controversy, will do next?  This will take most of the shine away from the actual competition I'm sure.

Luckily, ideas for Kanye coming on are just still in "talks" but he was reported to have expressed "interest," still remaining on the fence as Yeezy's people have told us.  There's also the tiny issue with the salary.  Mariah Carey has already reportedly been promised a cool $18mill a year.  Since that is already known I'm sure Yeezy would be asking for more, so as not to be out-diva-fied by his possible diva cohorts Ms. Carey and Ms. Minaj.

Either way I hope they change their mind, or Yeezy ends up being too high maintenance for them and they go with someone else because American Idol is really no place for the likes of Mr. West.

Mariah Carey.  Nicki Minaj.  Butterfly Princess. Booty-Pop Princess. Fantasy.  Beez in the Trap.  When you think about the two, really there's no comparison.  So why then, is American Idol possibly risking the cooperation of Mariah Carey for the likes of Nicki Minaj?

Mariah Carey, an already confirmed judge for the show, reportedly hung up the phone when she was told that Nicki Minaj was a possible top candidate for a seat on the national show.  Why? We're not 100% sure but we've been told Mariah was lead to believe that she would be the only Diva on the panel.  It's understandable.  With one of the largest egos, being one of the biggest pop divas in the world, I wouldn't want to share the spotlight with some spring chicken almost half my age either.

But is that the only reason?  Makes you wonder.  I mean they did have that song together, "Up out my Face."  They looked like they had so much fun together so if they are suppose to be so cool why such a reaction to the news?  Hmm... there may be something else other than wanting to monopolize on the shows full supply of sequins and Louboutins.
