Juicy J finally dropped the music video for the current ratchet theme song of the moment, "Bandz a Make Her Dance" featuring Lil' Wayne and 2 Chainz.
I'll have to say, based on the content of the song, I'm a little disappointed in the video. There's a marching band in the video(what I'm assuming is a cheesy play on the whole "bandz" term). And then they show a cat when someone says "pussy". I mean the whole thing is just sort of lame.
And no offence to the "Beckies" out there, but there are like, NO ratchet booties to speak of in the video. Granted the whole "whooty" movement has taken tromendous leaps and bounds for the past five years or so and what with the advancements in augmentation technology, clapping is an art no longer limited to just boriquas, black chicks, and anybody who used tosuper size their fries. But the most that I got of a "clap" was some medium sized booty in shadow.
Really a poor attempt at ratchosity if you ask me. You fellas are getting weak at your objectification skills. I'm about to quit blogging and start directing out here!
I remember first learning of Kreayshawn when I was following Kat Stacks on Twitter(come on we all did it). Kat Stacks shared the video of Kreayshawn speaking on her thoughts of what Kat Stacks was doing as an industry, as a hoe, as a hoe in the industry, and as a industry hoe.
After I watched the video I was intrigued by this hood-sounding, blonde chick with the first connected nose ring I had seen since 1994. So I clicked on her other videos and found this single "Bumpin Bumpin" and fell in LOVE! I immediately had to have the song on my playlist. I played it for all my friends while I gave the Kat Stacks back story and everything. This girl was different and she wasn't afraid to stand out and be whatever she wanted to be.
Then things went silent for a while. She's an artist and a producer so she started posting weird "trippy" videos that are actually quite interesting when you are inebriated or under the influence of recreational narcotics(or so I've been told ;). But the music was nowhere to be found for a while.
Then all of a sudden I started seeing screen shots of what looked to be a music video on Tumblr, so I investigated. My suspicions were correct! Kreayshawn had come out with a new single and a new music video! Again I fell head over heels! She had actually sampled her first song, to aid in this new single, "Gucci Gucci."
Her popularity started buzzing after this. Lil' Wayne remixed it and she started working with bigger artists like Souljah Boy and 2 Chainz. She dropped a mixtape on DatPiff and it got mixed reviews. I personally hated it but then again I'm not into that chopped and screwed up non-rhyming music.
Recently, she released a single and music video for "Go Hard" off her debut album, "Somethin' Bout Kreay." It's on sale now and features stars like Kid Cudi and 2Chainz as well as her long time rode dogs, Diplo, Sissy Nobby, V-nasty and Chippy Nonstop. She even performed it live on the Jimmy Kimmel Show(big things)! I will have to admit, the album is well produced. Some of the songs are very fun. Even the song "Left Ey3" was feeding me a little gangster. And I honestly don't even hate her rendition of "Supersonic" entitled "K234ys0nixz", but I do, however, I hate her title naming choices.
This was my least favorite out of all of her singles but that's just personal preference.
Overall I would not recommend the album to any and everybody. There definitely is "Somthin' Bout Kreay." I have even gotten some of the most hard core guys I know to admit to finding her at the least, "interesting." But I would recommend for everyone to give her a shot, she's probably got at least one song you would bump somewhere for some reason.

Not really much I can say that Weezy hasn't already said. Either you love him or you hate him, one mixtape isn't going to change that. So here's Tunechi's next installment. The only thing I can really say that stands out for me is that I like that at the end of "Cashed Out" they speak on the elections in a couple months:
"Speaking of leaders, all bullsh*t aside, you n*ggas pushed that button to download this tape, you n*ggas get out and push that button for Obama in November. Don't look back like damn, oh yeah, Dedication 4, that was the last tape I bought when we had a black president."
I even tolerated Nicki's feature in "Mercy". As long as she keeps doing features like this and the one in 2 Chainz "Damn I Love Them Strippers" I can swallow her(no homo).
But, all bullsh*t aside(in my DJ Drama voice), I hope all of you will be exercising your rights this November whichever position you chose, because either way, if you don't vote, you don't have a right to an opinion.
2 Chainz "Birthday Song" the official music video dropped today! Let me tell you, this video is WILD! I'm not sure exaclty what I just witnessed. There's midgets and big booty hoes all over the place, plus they bank a clown? I don't know, just watch it!
I know you know that I know that you know that I know Dedication 4 was supposed to be dropping today. So you know that I know that.. well.. that joint just ain't here yet, so I went snooping around for answers. On Weezy's Bread Over Bed website he claims that he purposely decided to delay the mixtape as to not take any shine away from 2 Chainz's album release of "Based on a T.R.U. Story" but then he fessed up to really not finishing it in time as he is working on his "skateboard career."
Lil Tunechi what is you doin hunny?(lol) Trust me, 2 Chainz didn't need any help on his album numbers I'm sure by now everybody knows that album is worth coping. So stop BSin' around and give us the mixtape already!(lol)
If I didn't know better I would take that as a slight on some "you only do numbers if I don't take them away from you" deal but whatever, they're cool so I'm sure he didn't mean it that way. But either way I'm sure Chainz wouldn't care even if it was a slight. He knows he's going to be getting his money Dedication 4 or no Dedication 4.

This Just in: The official release date for the mixtape is now 12pm on September 3rd. (That's if he doesn't break his neck doing an olly or 360 or whatever those skater do!)
For those of you who were keeping track, G.O.O.D. Music's "Cruel Summer" compilation still has yet to drop. Originally, Kanye West's label planned on an August release date. That got pushed back to September 4th that now seems to be stamped at September 18th. Speculations are that the postponements have been to ensure that this feature-crazy album gets all the guest features it can sustain! Fourteen additional days of waiting are apparently ensuring us four more star features. With features already from people like Common, 2 Chainz, John Legend, Teyana Taylor, and Q-Tip, to say the least, how much more star studded can this album get!?!
Sounds as if this album will be well worth the wait, however, don't make us wait too much longer Yeezy. All I'm saying is, Autumn starts September 22nd so he might want to get on it quick, either that or change the name of the album to "Cruel Fall" maybe even "Cruel Winter".
I think I like 2 Chainz Tity Boi so much because you get all the fun rapping of Waka Flocka without all those unnecessary sound effects (BOW BOW POW WOW SHOW!) Even though some moments call for a couple random outbursts, I felt like I had turrets sometimes singing a Flocka song, BOW!
He dropped his video for I Luv Dem Strippers featuring Nicki Minaj. What else would be expected from a song with such title? There are definitely some very appealing... visuals. Well, just look for yourself.
I'm not sure if 2 Chainz wanted Nicki Minaj on his song to help out his own career, but her featuring on this track definitely is helping her get some of her own street cred back. I almost noticed a glimmer of old Nicki in this video. You have multiple personalities Nick its ok to let the gangster one out a little more and let the pop one rest for a minute please!
Jeremih is at it again! Giving us the soundtracks to our bedrooms. Late Nights was the best title for this mix tape. From start to finish you have that high pitched melodic stylings we become accustomed to from Mr Jeremih, but a little more polished, a little, smoother. This mix tape would be a great accent to many of the late night hobbies whether it be sitting back with a nice drink or smoke, or doing some bedroom cardio. But don't be mistaken, this is no Luther Vandross love ensemble or anything like that, so don't expect to find another "If This World Were Mine" on there or anything, but some of the subject matter is sure to get you hot a steamy!
With features from artists like Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, and Twista the mix tape almost speaks for itself. I almost wonder why it's free on DatPiff! Go Download it now!! What do you have to lose?!
